There are 2 banknotes in this lot. They are frim 1944 and were often refered to as “invasion money”. It was issued by the United States for use in allied occupied France during WWII. These notes are both worth 2 Francs each. On the reverse side is the French tricolored Flaf with the motto Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite which means freedom, equality and brotherhood. They were printed by the Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Co. (will not let me put this in the brand so had to put unknown)
